Troubleshooting Guide

Solutions for common issues when trying to eject water or clean dust.

No Sound is Playing

  • Check Volume: Ensure your phone's media volume (not ringer volume) is turned up.
  • Silent Mode: Verify your physical mute switch isn't preventing media playback (common on iPhones).
  • Browser Permissions: Some browsers auto-mute websites. Check your browser settings to allow sound.

Water Still Trapped After Ejecting

If you've run the cycle and sound is still muffled:

  1. Turn your volume to 100%.
  2. Important: Position your phone vertically so the speaker grille faces the floor. Gravity is essential.
  3. Run the cycle 3-5 times consecutively.
  4. Use the "Manual Frequency Control" slider and try lower frequencies (around 140Hz - 150Hz) which may resonate better with larger speakers.

"Dust Cleaner" Pitch is Too High

The dust cleaner mode uses high-frequency pulses which can be piercing. This is normal and intentional. If it is painful to your ears, place the phone away from you while the cycle runs, or cover your ears. Do NOT cover the speaker, as it needs airflow to dislodge dust.

Web App Not Installing

If the "Install App" button doesn't work:

  • iOS (iPhone): Tap the "Share" button in Safari ➝ Select "Add to Home Screen".
  • Android: Tap the three dots menu in Chrome ➝ Select "Install App" or "Add to Home Screen".
